One of these electrical fields have emerged by the seaside. Here, the Manectric rest among the crackling, galvanized waves of energy. when kasper first hears about the swarm, they're tempted to just let it be. but then they decide fuck it, just as quickly, and make their way to the route.

by the time they actually make it, they would have thought it to be storming, if not for the clear blue sky overhead. the crackle of electricity seems to be a warning from one pokemon to another- or them, if they're really unlucky- but they don't think twice about throwing a pokeball towards the group.

He supposed that if a manectric was big enough, it wouldn’t be a bad thing to have one on his team. Then, again, considering his failed attempt at the last swarm, he was reluctant to try again. There was also the fact that he could probably spend his time doing practically anything else.

electric types are kind of julian's thing. admittedly, she doesn't have a lot of them right now, which is why she's here. normally she doesn't venture far from home, but this time she's come armed with her persona and a go pro camera. she films the manectric from afar, offering commentary all the while. "it's rare to see them this close to civilization," she whispers. "they like to nest where lightning has struck... so maybe there was a storm here?"

after observing them for a bit, julian stands. one of them is breaking off from the crowd. "perfect," they say. they release their tinkaton from its ball, and once the lone canine is far enough away, they command their steel fairy to attack. "play rough!" the tinkaton launches itself into the fray, hoping to weaken the other pokemon enough to catch it.

"Careful, now, Mango," Nabi speaks to the eager pichu in the middle of absorbing the electrical currents all around them. There's only so much a baby pichu can take in before it's too much, so when she starts to see Mango's cheeks fluff up, she tells him to use NUZZLE on the nearest electrike. It's not particularly effective, given the newborn's strength, even with the boosted electricity. In any case, Nabi's more interested in testing the pichu's capabilities.[break][break]

To her right is Taiga, claws flicking for a taste of battle himself. He growls lowly when a manectric steps up to the scene to assist the electrike Mango has just attacked.[break][break]

Nabi pounds a fist into her hand. "Alright then, a double-battle, eh?" She flashes a grin to Taiga.[break][break]

The zeraroa dives into action with a POWER-UP PUNCH while Mango unleahes a THUNDERSHOCK this time. Snap, crackle, and pop![break][break]

Oh storms...and electric terrains. Funnily enough, it was during a storm that he first met Jigawatt, near Levincia City, as he was returning home. Raju stared out at the electric terrains...a literal storm on land. He didn't bring Jigawatt for this fight, not exactly fit for it. No, he brought Brownie the Paldean Wooper. The gym trainer usually wasn't for mass fights and destruction, but this was also a bit on the rediculous side. So the Wooper it was. With the little fella on his shoulder, the blond jumped down from his perch. Upon landing, the Wooper jumped up and landed with a thud that started to grow into an Earthquake. Manectric will be a good addition to his ground racing team...if he got one large enough for it though.

Cass has brought Tin to the swarm in hopes of bonding some more with the pikachu. And well, if hiding behind her could count as bonding, then that would probably be a success ... "Everything alright with you, Tin?" she asks, a bit concerned as it seems like her pikachu is going through some sort of flashbacks, and then suddenly crackles with determination.

All of a sudden, a little storm seems to be brewing in the yellow rat, and she quickly scoops her pikachu up with her arm that isn't holding a little garbage bag. "Hey, hey, easy, buddy, easy. I don't know what beef you have with the pokémon here, but they don't attack you, so don't make a wrong move here, okay? I don't want you to get hurt."

Tin looks at her with wide eyes, as if only coming to the realisation now - the storm inside his mind has clouded his judgement. Right, and even back then ... some harmless static crawls across his fur, and he nods. "Awesome. Now, let's see if we can ..." She motions for Tin to get settled a bit on her shoulder so she could take out a pokéball. Again, Tin seems to be gripped by some memory of times past, wanting to swat the ball away-

But it's already flying. "Tin!" Cass scolds, unaware yet of the results of her swarm attempt today.

MANECTRIC SWARM

The sound of rumbling thunder lets Mika know that they are closer to the Manectric Swarm. She'd heard of the gathering electric types near the seaside, and gathered a couple of her most-trusted pokemon in order to dispel the growing crowd. [break][break]

After all, the electric types near the sea would be troublesome for the local water-types. But more than that, she didn't want the manectric to get too comfortable in an area where they didn't belong. Yet at the same time, she also wanted to make sure they weren't injured too much. [break][break]

But as with any outbreak of pokemon, the ranger is not alone in her endeavors. Other trainers have gathered there, as well, whether for their own goal of capturing a manectric or some other reason. Regardless, Mika nods at each trainer with acknowledgement if they happen to cross her path, but otherwise sticks to herself. [break][break]

The manectrics reminds her of Josh Devlin, specifically. Although Mika has only ever faced the gym leader in a battle of aerial wits, she knows he has a love for electric-type pokemon, as well. She smiles softly at the thought of it, and resumes her mission of maintaining the wild manectric. [break][break]

"Golurk, use Phantom Force and scare away some of the stragglers. Lycanroc, you do the same with Stone Edge." And they set off at their trainer's behest, growling with determination and life. [break][break]

Was it any surprise, for Ettie to come along at the news of Manectric? She was always eager to make new friends, and perhaps even bring in a new addition to her pack - and these Raiju were lovely creatures. She wasn't sure where the Electric Terrain had come from, but it certainly had a few of her own pokemon feeling good!

Duchess, in fact, was practically vibrating at the notion of new friends, and was perhaps getting a bit hyped up off of the electricity as she bounced aboutm looking for someone to play with!
